Our Contribution to More Sustainability and Resource Efficiency

Did you know that around 17 percent of global food production is wasted?

Even though more people are affected by world hunger globally, the amount of food loss is constantly increasing.

To raise awareness and encourage consumers and producers to reduce waste the United Nations is celebrating the International Day of Zero Waste at 30 March 2023.

As a producer of agricultural machines and equipment Westrup contributes to further improved food security and reduced field losses in the initial stages of food production.

How do our machines and equipment encourage more sustainability and optimized resource efficiency?

-  Our equipment contributes to reliable land yields by selecting and separating high value seeds for sowing. This reduces the likelihood of crop failure.

-   The variety of adjustable settings of our equipment in combination with our sophisticated operation system minimizes the loss of valuable products through outlets for waste.

-   Our recently updated navigator system and our adaptive aspiration control minimize losses due to fluctuations in the aspiration channel.

-  The treatment solutions of NoroGard x Westrup ensure the germination of planted seeds and reduce the probability of losses through deceases and pests.

Together with our partners we work every day on solutions for a more sustainable agriculture.
